Met at a party 20 years ago. Literally we were aware of the others' presence from the moment we entered the room.

How has finding your soulmate/twin flame changed your life?
We met many years ago but lost contact. The parting from each other was very traumatic. Both of us suffered during the years we were not together. But we needed to be apart in order to spiritually grow, and to complete other journeys in our lives.

We have the same initials. We are both married to people with the same initials and same star sign as us. Our children were born one day apart.

We are both married to others. We know now is not the right time for us to be together. We have karmic missions to complete. We are also separated by distance - several oceans and timezones.

We feel a spiritual connection to one another that we are still trying to understand. He dreamt of me for many years after our first meeting. I had a premonition after we first parted that we would meet again and it would be a huge upheaval in my life. As a child, I always felt that there was 'someone missing'.
Do you and your partner have the feeling that this isn't the only lifetime you have spent together? If so, please tell us about it, below.
Not sure..it definitely feels like we have 'found' each other after many lifetimes. It doesn't feel like we have any karma to clear. We are home.
How would you describe your life up until the time you found your soulmate or twin flame? What is the last "big thing" to have happened to you prior to your reunion?
Very happy and content, in fact. Both of us feel that. The last 'big thing'...he stopped looking for me a few months before I 'found' him. He said that he'd finally realised that maybe he'd never find me, after 20 years of looking. Our significant relationships with others have had some turmoil in them and lots of uncertainty.
Have you noticed any recurring themes in your relationships, ie..past karmic experiences that keep popping up or the numbers 11 11 and the Fibonacci Sequence as it relates to date/time?
Not really, apart from seeing things that relate to the others' country of origin. We both relate a lot to Sufi mysicism/Rumi etc.
Have either you, your partner or both of you together, had the feeling from a very young age that you were put here to fulfill a purpose for which you never received any specific instructions? (feelings of a spiritual calling, a higher call, or a greater purpose.)
Yes, I definitely felt that. It is as though I am completing a circle of spiritual awareness. Finding my TF means I've almost reached the beginning again.
What advice would you give to anyone out there who is either searching for their own twin flame or soulmate or is in the middle of one of these relationships?
Stay with it, listen to your heart. Live with acceptance of the situation. It is meant to test you and forces you to take notice of your connection with the divine.

Completely and utterly. I feel that I was blind to my link with the divine before I reconnected with him. Our first time together, which was only brief, was utterly beautiful and perfect. We knew there were obstacles in our way and we didn't know at that young age that we would overcome them and meet again, but now we can look back and see that everything is in divine order and we need to accept it and be patient.

It's very difficult sometimes. But we keep coming back to acceptance and to what is true and right - the love we have for each other. Then it spreads to other people in our lives.

I think we can be very happy with other people. Sometimes the twinsoul relationship is too intense. It takes a strong character to understand it and to make it work. Soulmates can bring a huge familiarity and satisfaction and contentment to life too.

We haven't had any conflicts, apart from the geographical distance between us. Our first meeting, when we were younger, was confusing as we didn't understand the significance of our union.

We allow the intensity to flow and take it as part of our relationship. We accept that some days it is intense, others it is not. At all times it is joyous.

I don't know what our shared purpose is apart from bringing more love to the world. I had never heard of twin flames until we reconnected. I would love to participate in twin flame events!

Patience and faith, most of all acceptance. Also I try to strip away the 'human' suffering that goes along with the emotional turmoil and look into my heart and see that our union is something very special and unique that we should be grateful for.

It just makes complete sense. I don't really know how else to describe it. I have a beautiful soulmate in my life but that is a different feeling. I just knew when I found my twin that it was a divine calling.
